A Student Colloquium takes place every year at our International Elastomer Conference. Opt-in to our email communications, follow us on Twitter and join our LinkedIn Group to receive the call for abstracts and posters.
The objective of the Rubber Division's annual Student Colloquium is to provide a positive venue for students to present their work and meet with industry members in an encouraging and rewarding environment. Both graduate and undergraduate students are urged to participate in this technical conference each fall.
University students from around the globe gather for a full day of presentations and posters. The Annual Student Colloquium includes oral presentations by graduates, undergraduates and co-op students, and a luncheon for all students attending the conference. Concurrent with the student presentations is the Poster Session. Some participants receive up to $500 for their travel expenses. All student participants are eligible to compete for four $1,500 awards in the areas of Best Undergraduate/Graduate Oral Presentation and Best Undergraduate/Graduate Poster. Presentations are judged on content, scope, originality, clarity, organization, delivery, visual aids and subject knowledge. Posters are judged on originality, neatness, a clearly defined subject and subject knowledge. Conference attendees are encouraged to sit in on these presentations and stop by to view the posters.
This is an opportunity to present your best work to industry professionals and network with them during special events. Many of these professionals could soon be your employers and coworkers. In fact, several of our participants have received job offers on site!
