Rubber Division, ACS has established a committee created to address PFAS regulation issues and provide updates about the impact of the proposed regulations. The committee has organized the following regarding this initiative:

Updates on Regulatory & Advocacy Activities Related to Fluoropolymers (including Fluoroelastomers) in the US, EU & UK

This webinar presented by Deepak Kapoor, Vice President – Marketing and Fluoropolymer Strategy, Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited, will share information on various activities on PFAS with a focus on its impact to the fluoropolymer industry in the US and EU. It will provide:
• Updates on Federal and State activities in the US on PFAS related to fluoropolymers
• Updates on EU PFAS activities related to fluoropolymers
• Advocacy efforts for exemption of fluoropolymers by Gujarat Fluorochemicals

• PFAS Technical Symposium
A PFAS Technical Symposium will be held as a part of the Technical Meeting. A variety of speakers will address concerns around proposed regulation of PFAS chemicals, how companies in the fluoropolymer space are responding and technologies behind the search for safer alternatives.

• Expo Theater Presentations
Additional presentations on the topic of PFAS will be held in the Expo Theater. Learn about proposed regulations on PFAS substances, which materials are being considered for regulation and why, and how companies can be proactive in planning for coming regulations.

• PFAS Panel
Expected Federal and EU policies have the potential to greatly disrupt all players in the high temperature elastomers and sealing industries. Industry representatives will discuss the state of the regulatory environment and the Impact of proposed PFAS regulations on fluoroelastomer and fluoropolymer markets.
