Location: This course is in-person at Akron Rubber Development Laboratory – 75 E. Robinson Ave., Barberton, OH 44203. Tour and lunch included.
Course Overview: Elastomer molding presents unique challenges – curing time estimation, material waste, uneven cavity filling, flash, weld lines and non-fills – all of which contribute to costly delays and inefficiencies. Traditionally, these issues are addressed through trial and error or mold redesign, increasing expenses and impacting production timelines.
This session will explore how simulation technology can optimize the molding process, reduce costs and improve efficiency. Learn how to:
Material properties are an important aspect of simulation data. An overview of cure testing will be conducted including the types of testing and what properties the data can describe. Application testing used for molding rubber compounds, as well as some quality control tests to ensure compound integrity will be discussed.
Led by industry experts, this session will provide practical insights and real-world applications to help you move beyond guesswork and towards a more efficient, cost-effective, elastomer molding process.
Join us to discover how simulation can transform your molding operations and give your business a competitive edge!
