We offer a wide selection of high-quality and polymer-rich proprietary formulations including EPDM, Silicone, Teflon®, Viton A®, Viton GF®, Viton ETP®, and Kalrez®.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Rubber Formulation Chemist & Compliance Specialist located in Lebanon, OH. As a Rubber Formulation Chemist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, conducting research and development activities, and creating innovative formulations for our high-quality products. As a Compliance Specialist, you will ensure that our seals and diaphragms meet the applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Chemist/Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:
• Develop, Improve, and Maintain Proprietary Compounds
• Manage Product Lifecycle
• Research and Validate Outside Materials
• Interact Internally and Externally on Material Questions/Issues
• Resolve Material-related Production and Customer Issues
• Budget/Design/Build/Upgrade/Maintain/Operate Testing Equipment
• Develop and Maintain Testing Protocols
• Test Report Development, Formatting, Writing and Publishing
• Developing and Maintaining Sales and Technical Literature in all Forms
• Manage Regulatory and Standard Requirements
• FDA, USP, REACH, RoHs, ICH, etc
• Determine Requirements and Manage Compliance Testing
• Create and Manage Relevant Certifications
• Answer Compliance Questionnaires and Inquiries


Chemist/Compliance Specialist Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field – Polymer Chemistry preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in elastomer formulation.
• An understanding of Compliance requirements (relevant Regulations and Standards) as they relate to food and pharmaceutical processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer service software.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to interaction with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
• Ability and willingness to provide technical support for customers and end users
• Good understanding of management practices and techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Rubber Mixing Experience is preferred but not required
