RRTG Offers Valuable Resources
Rubber Recycling Topical Group (RRTG) began its existence in 1993 as an ad hoc group then became a topical group in 1994. The group was set up to promote rubber recycling through educational workshops/symposiums at the major Rubber Expos and technical presentations at fall meetings.
Members include rubber and plastic recycling companies, suppliers to the rubber industry, rubber consultants and companies using recycled rubber.
RRTG's mission is to focus on industry requirements through education, technical symposia, and awareness about the benefits or recycling. RRTG keeps track of technical developments, R&D, environmental improvements and publications and aims to promote and support the recycling industry.
RRTG Executive committee members can provide speakers at regional Rubber Group meetings. "For those who are not actually into recycling, [ask us] what kinds of products are currently being produced," explained Marvin Myhre, RRTG Chair. "Let us be a resource for you. When we work as a team, instead of individual islands, things will move forward."
