Subscription Refund Policy

A refund will be given based on how many journals have not yet been shipped. The Rubber Division's Education & Publications Manager will make final decisions on the amount to be refunded based on a prorated schedule.

Claims Policy

Only claims for the previous three (3) issues will be accepted and investigated by the Rubber Division office. Claims for older issues will be treated as orders and invoices will be sent to the appropriate party.

Previous Year Subscription Order Policy

Rubber Chemistry and Technology can be ordered for the current year and up to two previous years. The cost for the previous years will be $90 per issue.

Subscriber Address Policy

From Agencies/Booksellers, we now require the complete name and physical address of each subscriber, new and existing, in addition to the mailing address associated with the order. When you claim a missing issue on behalf of your subscribers, you will need to send us this information so that we may be able to verify the addresses and take appropriate action to ensure proper and timely delivery. This information is for tracking purposes only and will not be used to solicit your buyer directly at any time. This information will allow us to better monitor and cut our shipping costs while providing our joint customers with improved service.

The entire contents of RC&T Online, including individual journals, articles, abstracts and other items within these materials are copyrighted by the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society, Inc. under the copyright laws of the United States Codified in Title 17 of the U.S. Code, which is party to both the Universal Copyright Convention and the Berne Convention. All Users—those who access RC&T Online—agree not to remove or obscure copyright notices. Rubber Division grants no copyright or ownership interests to Users for any of the material and proprietary information referred therein belonging to Rubber Division.

Format

The entire contents of RC&T Online is available in either Adobe Acrobat PDF or standard HTML.

Contents

RC&T Online contains all articles published in Rubber Chemistry and Technology from 1928 to the present. It is sold as a single body of research, not as individual articles.

Availability

Rubber Division will make every available effort to assure continuous availability of RC&T Online through the Internet. It is understood that availability will be subject to periodic interruption due to maintenance of the server(s), installation or testing of software, loading new information files, and downtime related to equipment or services outside the control of the Rubber Division including public and private telecommunications services or Internet nodes or facilities.

Access

Access to RC&T Online is controlled by a Username and Password. Rubber Division requires that Usernames be E-mail Addresses. Most companies use the librarian/contact person's e-mail address as the Username. Passwords can either be selected by the contact person or provided by Rubber Division. This information is required at the time of purchase. It is the responsibility of the User to disseminate this information to all User employees. Upon cancellation of a subscription to RC&T Online, no additional service is provided.

Permitted Use

Users may view, download, or print individual articles, abstracts or other individual items from RC&T Online for reading only. To use any of these items in whole or in part in research or education materials, Rubber Division requires the purchase of reprinted/reproduced material permission.

Prohibited Use

Except as provided in Permitted Use above, Users agree not to forward, transfer, sell, rent or otherwise knowingly distribute or provide access to the contents of RC&T Online. Articles and other information obtained from these services are not to be used for fee-for-service purposes such as document delivery and/or transmitted to non-subscribing institutions. Articles and other information obtained as a result of access to RC&T Online are not to be systematically downloaded, re-published in any media, print or electronic form. Articles may not be downloaded in aggregate quantities or centrally stored for later retrieval. User agrees not to modify, alter, or create derivative works of the materials contained in RC&T Online without prior written permission from Rubber Division.

Liability

Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall Rubber Division or anyone else involved in administering RC&T Online access be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that result from the use of or inability to access RC&T Online; or that result in mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion of files, defects, viruses or delays in operation or transmission, or any failure of performance, whether or not limited to any acts of a higher power, communications failure, theft, or destruction of records, programs, or services.
