Betul Yurdumakan with The University of Akron won the Best Graduate Paper Award for "Direct Observation of Molecular Structure at the Elastomer Contact Interface by IR-Visible Sum Frequency Generation Spectroscopy". Pankaj Y. Patil with the University of Cincinnati won the Best Graduate Poster Award for "Mechanistic Study of the Effect of Adhesion Promoter Resins on the Crystal Structure of the Copper Sulfide Adhesion Layer in Rubber-to-Metal Bonding in Tires". Robert E. Aufiero, Jr. with the University of Massachusetts-Lowell won the Best Undergraduate Poster Award for "Electrospinning of Nitrile Rubber with Nanoclays Filler Systems".
